，這就是李泰祥的作風，不但經常心懷感恩，而且受人點滴，加倍奉還。
    　作家何穎怡日前在網路分享她從音樂家許常惠聽來的故事，表示當年李泰祥念藝專音樂系時，經常沒錢吃飯，許常惠看他面黃肌瘦，便告訴他可以去他家巷口麵攤吃麵，掛許常惠的帳。
    　受人點滴 加倍奉還
    　沒想到不過幾天，麵攤老闆跑來對許常惠說，經不起他的學生大批大批來吃飯掛帳。許常惠納悶，詢問李泰祥，才知道他呼朋引伴一起吃麵。許常惠告知他老闆的難處，不料隔幾天，李泰祥又來敲許常惠辦公室的門，門一開，背後站著李泰祥的父母，和他父母從家鄉牽來的一頭牛，說：「沒錢還給許老師，請老師收下這隻牛抵償麵錢。」
    　許常惠無法接受，李泰祥父母也不把牛帶走，牛就在校園裡晃蕩，最後不知蹤影。
    　何穎怡對這故事印象深刻。她說阿美族的李泰祥承襲了族裡「分享」的哲學：「因此李泰祥認為他可以帶上兄弟朋友一起去吃飯。一旦發覺漢人觀看事情的角度與他不同，他的父母即使窮得只剩一條牛，也會連夜牽上來還債。」
    　重義氣 隨性不計較
    　由此可見李泰祥性格中重義氣、不計較的一面，他對待自己音樂版權也是如此，當年簽版權總是隨性隨意，以現在注重創作版權和版權收入的眼光看來，不可思議。
    　李泰祥生前大方捐地，花蓮縣長傅崐萁昨晚表示，他不清楚李泰祥所捐的地位在花蓮何處，不過如果李大師真的捐地給縣府，他個人初步構想，是在這塊地上種植橄欖樹，蓋李泰祥紀念館，讓樂迷們可以到此地憑弔。
    　版權逾億 幾全賤賣
    　李泰祥堪稱台灣國寶，在70、80年代還不流行「文創」一詞的台灣，就已經為流行樂界創造高額產值。這些歌曲著作權的價值，保守預估超過億元台幣，可惜幾乎都不在李泰祥身上。
    　當時著作權觀念不彰，海派、重義氣的李泰祥，經常以一首2000、3000元的價格賤賣給唱片公司。
    　李泰祥的胞弟、同為音樂人的李昌義表示，當時環境特殊，完全沒有著作權的概念，創作者也不懂得保護自己，「我哥常因為明天要出國，為了3萬元的機票，就用一首3000元的價錢，一次賣掉10首歌的版權。那時又不懂，合約簽一簽，著作權就跟著賣掉了。」
    　李昌義感慨的表示，這還是有價的部分，當時李泰祥的歌紅極一時，盜版情況非常嚴重，這些對創作人的心血都是一種傷害，當時卻求償無門。
    　李泰祥的另一胞弟李泰銘表示，李泰祥歌曲著作權的問題已經很久了，怎麼追討都討不回來。對他而言，每首歌都像他的兒子一樣，不過他後來也看得很淡，只要作品能夠持續演奏，就是他最開心的事。，

東港：想像過能在大馬路上滑水嗎？在網路上掀起討論熱潮的「就愛滑水」活動，本月21、22兩日即將在東港大鵬灣熱鬧展開，鵬灣跨海大橋上搭建出3百公尺的滑水道，讓民眾以自己最有創意的造型來滑水。

　當時詹宏志為他開派對，侯孝賢、小野、吳念真等人到場，李安傻傻問「該怎麼辦」？大夥七嘴八舌開玩笑：「新官上任三把火，等徐立功位子坐熱後，就不會幹這種事了，你趕快拿了錢跑路！」侯孝賢卻說：「我以前只有800萬，也拍啦，有機會能拍就拍！」這些話，讓他終於不再猶豫。，
